Café Bolacha

Located in the charming neighborhood of Senefelderstraße 29, Berlin, Café Bolacha is a delightful enclave for anyone craving authentic Portuguese flavors in a cozy, unpretentious setting. This inviting coffee shop doubles as a small restaurant, where the essence of Portuguese cuisine warmly welcomes you, wrapped in a cloth of friendly service and scrumptious aromas.

Step inside and be enveloped by the rich scent of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the sweet notes of warm pastries. The centerpiece of their menu is undoubtedly the Pastel de Nata, known for its perfectly flaky crust, warm custard filling, and that delectable caramelized top that melts in your mouth. As customer Diane Diane exclaims, these tarts are "Absolutely the best ever," a sentiment echoed by many who leave with a satisfied smile.

In addition to the iconic tarts, make sure to try their homemade selections like the Dubai Cake, praised for its freshness and indulgent flavor by the friendly staff who serve it. The enchanting atmosphere, described as a “tiny place with a big Portuguese heart,” invites you to linger over a flat white coffee that is equally as delightful. The coffee itself has garnered high marks from visitors, with many claiming it’s “super on point.”

The café might be small, but the intimate space fosters a warm community vibe where friendly chats with the staff—often noted in customer reviews—are just as fulfilling as the food and drinks. Yagmur Köksal highlights that the workers are “always kind and welcoming,” making every visit a pleasure.

As you escape the hustle of Berlin's streets, enjoy your coffee and treats at this lovely retreat. With beaming smiles from the staff, a homely vibe, and dishes crafted with love, Café Bolacha is more than just a coffee shop; it’s a celebration of Portuguese culture that lingers long after your last bite.

Whether you’re grabbing a quick pastry or sitting down to enjoy a selection of delights, Café Bolacha promises to turn any ordinary day into something special. Don’t miss your chance to visit this hidden gem—you’ll find yourself coming back for more!

Absolutely the best ever Portugal tarts I've ever tasted. Lovely friendly service. Small, relaxed place. Highly recommended.

Nice new coffee place in the area. The coffee was good and I really liked the homemade Portuguese baked goods. I will come back again especially for the Pastel de Nata. The service was also very friendly and fast.

Absolutely fabulous sweets and the flat white coffee was also super on point. Tiny place with big Portuguese heart in it. Lovely chat with the lady working there. Definitely the set of sweets and coffee made my day!

A small and cozy cafe with the most tasty desserts I’ve eaten! I especially loved the Dubai Cake, made by the friendly girl who served us. Great to know that what you eat is fresh and made with love!

I absolutely love the coffee shop! The workers are always kind and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. I especially enjoy their natas — they’re always fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious. Recently, I discovered a new favorite: the Dubai cake. It’s so good, I can’t get enough of it!

Came here twice during an 8 days trip in Berlin. Nice little cafe which serves tasty Pastel de nata, quite a variety of pastries and cake baked by the very friendly lady. The natas were soft and flavorful inside, crispy on the outside.

I wish I’d got a pic! I was waiting for my table at Benedict and nipped here in the snow today. I’ve saved it and will return for a long read one day. The atmosphere of the staff is SO WARM! Beaming smiles greeted me. There’s 6 types of Nata and Lisbon tiles. Rare Berlin bonus, you can pay by card and it seemed with no minimum spend. Table service too - they brought my OJ. Quiet cafes in the city are treasured spots of respite, this environment feels like a hug.
